- The physician will be a board-certified physician practicing medicine in the specific markets overseen-
- Ottawa, Streator, Mendota
- This position is a blend of clinical and administrative roles. It allows the physician leader to remain active in the clinical arena, at the same time utilize leadership skills to guide, support and advocate for clinicians
- Demonstrates commitment to an interdisciplinary approach to care delivery
- Management and leadership experience in a patient first focused health setting
- Demonstrates skill in providing a clinical interface with other disciplines
- Excellent problem solving, change management and communication skills
- Experience in risk-based population health initiatives and value-based care
- Demonstrates experience with quality metrics, patient experience, and process improvement
- Understanding of dyad relationships and site lead/practice management structure
- Identification, support and development of lead clinicians
- A comprehensive understanding of issues facing the health care industry and the implications for the future provision of clinical services
- Embraces physician and advanced practice provider engagement through routine rounding, feedback and stoplight management
- Drives market level strategic and innovative initiatives
- Oversight of quality, safety and performance of the market(s)
- Participate in recruitment efforts

Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Education: Must be a licensed physician in the state of Illinois
- Experience: 3 years of experience in a clinical leadership role
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Professional development courses in health care management and/or MPH, MHS, MBA, or MS in health administration or closely related degree is also preferred.
- 5 years of experience in a clinical leadership role is preferred with 5 years providing primary care to patients in an outpatient setting is required
